Peoria City Council meeting on June 10, 2014 at Peoria City Hall

June 10, 2014

This was another excited day for us in Peoria, IL. We start our day with radio interview with Jim Mattson, WHOI Sports Director since 1990, and ESPN 96.5 FM Peoria Radio host and next we attend meeting at the Peoria City Council.

The Peoria City Council is elected by the citizens and is the group that makes policies and regulations for the city. Another elected official is the mayor, who represents the city and is the spokesman for the council. The council hires a trained professional city manager to run the day-to-day business of all the staff members in the departments of city government, and this city manager reports back to the council.

The mayor, Jim Ardis, and council members welcomed WIN Training founders Daria Mieloszynska-Zwolak and Sebastian Zwolak to Peoria at the City Hall on June 10.
